These terms apply to the Baton iOS application and to this website. By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Baton turns your phone into a network remote control for compatible Roku® TVs and streaming players on the same Wi-Fi network. The app is provided free of charge, with no accounts and no purchases.
Baton is an independent application. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Roku, Inc. or by any TV manufacturer. Roku® is a registered trademark of Roku, Inc. All product names shown by the app (such as the names and icons of apps installed on your TV) belong to their respective owners and are displayed only to you, on your own devices.
Use the app only with devices you own or are authorized to control, on networks you are authorized to use. Do not attempt to disrupt, probe or overload the app's backend services, and do not use the support chat for anything unlawful or abusive.
The in-app help chat is answered with the help of an AI assistant. It tries to be accurate, but its answers are generated automatically and may contain mistakes. They are provided for guidance only. What is shared with the chat, and how to withdraw consent, is described in the privacy policy.
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will work with every device, network or configuration, or that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or profits, arising out of or related to the use of, or inability to use, the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and nothing in them restricts any non-waivable consumer rights you hold under the law of your country of residence.
We may update the app and these terms. If the terms change in a meaningful way, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may suspend backend services (statistics collection and the support chat) at any time; the remote-control functions of the app work without them.
